26-Year-Old Aaron Fish Killed in Crash Near San Onofre State Beach
Camp Pendleton, CA (March 09, 2021) – On March 2, 26-year-old Aaron Fish died in a multi-vehicle crash during a military convoy on Interstate 5.
The fatal crash took place before 7 a.m. near San Onofre State Beach wherein five military trucks were traveling southbound.
Reports said the convoy started to slow and caused a chain-reaction crash.
One of the truck trailers was pushed forward into the cab and caused fatal injuries to the driver.
Unfortunately, Fish died at the scene while a sailor in his early 20s sustained severe injuries.
Additionally, four other service members, two women and two men in their early 20s incurred minor injuries.
Rescuers took the surviving victims to Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital and Mission Hospital in Orange County for treatment.
Moreover, grief counseling and support services will be available through the Navy.
