Injuries Reported after Castro Valley Pedestrian Accident on Grove Way

CASTRO VALLEY, CA (February 13, 2023) – Saturday night, a 77-year-old woman suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Grove Way near Redwood Road.

The incident happened at around 7:25 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church at 2940 Grove Way.

According to reports, a mid-2010s white Nissan Sentra struck and injured a 77-year-old woman. Then, the driver escaped west on Grove Way toward Redwood Road.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that the driver first brushed up against the woman.

After an argument, the driver then drove back around and intentionally struck the woman.

Then, the woman hit the hood of the car before she fell to the ground.

Responders later transported her to the hospital.
