Injuries Reported in San Francisco Scooter Accident on Ellis Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 29, 2022) – Monday afternoon, a 72-year-old woman suffered injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Ellis Street.
The incident occurred shortly after noon in the 300 block of Ellis Street. According to reports, an electric scooter rider struck and injured a 72-year-old woman. Then, that rider fled the scene. Meanwhile, responders took the woman to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time, the male scooter rider remains at large. Also, the police haven’t disclosed any description of him.
Furthermore, the authorities urged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Police Department’s tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” at the start of the message.
If you feel yourself drifting into other lanes due to fatigue or any other reason, safely pull over and rest before continuing to drive. You can also call a friend or an Uber to pick you up if you feel like it would be unsafe to drive.
Ways to Deal with Scooter Accidents
Each year, around 20-50 million people are injured or become disabled due to a crash. To avoid suffering from such incidents, practice safe driving habits on the road at all times.
As a driver, it’s your responsibility to do it even when it is empty, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make, say, a complete stop.
Even with the best driving habits, it is still important to know what to do if you find yourself in a motor vehicle accident.
Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers says, “The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery. At the same time, they will secure your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.”
