1 Dead in Newman Pedestrian Crash on Stuhr Road

 
NEWMAN, CA (February 19, 2020) – A 71-year-old man died after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Stuhr Road on February 15.
 
The detectives revealed that the male victim first got struck while he walked by a farming community along Stuhr Road, just west of McClintock Road. They also added that the area was pitch black at the time of the crash, around 10:30 p.m.
 
The CHP is still trying to identify the suspect driver that struck and killed the 71-year-old man. However, they located a driver’s side mirror at the scene. The officers are using it to identify the type of car.
 
The authorities haven’t disclosed the vehicle model at this time.
