68-Year-Old Lynnwood Man Dies in 2-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 north of Maytown
Maytown, WA (March 07, 2021 2021) – On Friday, a 68-year-old Lynnwood man died in a deadly 2-car crash on Interstate 5.
The fatal crash took place at about 10:20 p.m. on the southbound lane of the highway.
Reports said the victim’s vehicle was parked and blocking the second lane of southbound Interstate 5.
Just then, another vehicle driven by a 22-year-old man from Centralia came behind the victim’s vehicle.
It crashed with the victim’s vehicle as he was getting off.
Furthermore, the second car went on to strike the jersey barrier rested in the first lane.
Unfortunately, the authorities pronounced the Lynnwood man dead at the scene. On the other hand, the Centralia driver who was wearing a seatbelt was not injured in the crash.
Traffic crews closed the freeway for nearly four hours.
