67-Year-Old Wapato Man Struck by Vehicle in US-97 Hit-and-Run Crash [Toppenish, WA]

Toppenish, WA (May 18, 2022) On Saturday, May 14, a 67-year-old man from Wapato was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run crash on US-97.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the crash happened at around 10.00 p.m.

Reports say that the senior citizen was standing in the right northbound lane of US-97 when the suspect vehicle struck him.

Moreover, the driver did not stop to check on the victim and fled the scene.

Paramedics transported the Wapato senior to Yakima Valley Memorial Hospital, his current condition is not revealed.
