65-year-old Driver Killed in Crash on Kamm Avenue near Marks Avenue [Kerman, CA]

1 Dead, Gonzalo Regino Involved in Kerman Car Accident on Kamm Avenue

 
KERMAN, CA (September 13, 2020) – Saturday morning, a 68-year-old driver died in a crash on Kamm Avenue near Caruthers.
 
According to Sgt. Mike Salas, the incident happened at about 9:00 a.m. The 1996 Toyota Corolla driver headed west on Kamm Avenue. As he entered Marks Avenue, he didn’t stop for a stop sign. Then, a 2015 Chevrolet pickup hauling a cattle trailer north on Marks Avenue broadsided the Toyota.
 
The authorities confirmed that the driver on Marks Avenue have the right-of-way. Thus, the 28-year-old Chevrolet driver, Gonzalo Regino, could not avoid the crash. As a result, the Toyota driver succumbed to injuries at the scene.
 
At this time, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
