63-Year-Old Woman From Burney Struck and Killed on Highway 299
Burney, CA (March 13, 2021) – On Thursday, a 63-year-old woman from Burney died in a hit-and-run crash on Highway 299.
The fatal crash happened at around 10:30 p.m. near Hudson Street.
Officers said the woman was walking in the westbound lane of the highway when the vehicle struck her.
The suspect driver did not stop and was gone by the time officers arrived.
