3 Hurt in Possible DUI Crash on Merritt Street
Prescott, AZ (April 07, 2022) On Tuesday afternoon, a 3-vehicle collision at the intersection of Montezuma Street and Merritt Street injured 3 people.
The Prescott Police Department (PPD) says the crash happened around 4:12 p.m.
Reports say that a 1998 Dodge truck traveling north did not slow down for the stopped traffic at the intersection.
Consequently, the Dodge crashed into the back of a 2006 Toyota Solaris. The collision pushed the Toyota forward and into the back of a 2018 Jeep Wrangler.
Rescuers say that a 27-year-old Pine man on the Dodge, a 63-year-old Prescott woman on the Toyota, and a 59-year-old Prescott man on the Jeep sustained injuries due to the crash.
Paramedics transported both the woman and the truck driver to the Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
Afterward, a helicopter took the patients to another Phoenix hospital due to serious injuries.
Meanwhile, paramedics treated the Prescott man onsite.
Police are investigating the crash and said that impairment may be a factor in the crash.

Injured in a Vehicle Collision
According to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year. It is therefore important to follow all the traffic laws to avoid these types of accidents.
“A common misconception is that personal injury lawyers don’t care. That is simply not true. Injury lawyers care about and want justice for their clients. We are driven by the desire to make our clients whole again,” says Steve Baric of Sweet Lawyers, an attorney practicing for over 40 years.
Moreover, the most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash like the Montezuma Street 3-vehicle collision is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of a party.
