62-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Struck and Injured by Pickup Truck in Shelton Pedestrian Accident
SHELTON, WA (May 3, 2019) – A 62-year-old female pedestrian sustained injuries after an impaired pickup truck driver struck her in a Shelton pedestrian accident on May 1.
The incident occurred just before 5:30 p.m. on Railroad Avenue at 1st Street.
The pickup truck driver traveling north of 1st Street made a left turn onto Railroad Avenue. He eventually struck the woman in the crosswalk.
Medics transported the pedestrian via helicopter to Harborview Medical Center.
According to troopers, the cause of the collision was driving under the influence and that charges were pending.
