6 Hurt After Two Cars Collide in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 20, 2020) — Paramedics transported six people to a hospital following a Saturday afternoon two-vehicle Stoddard Wells Road crash near the 15 Freeway.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene around 3:00 p.m. near KOA Kampground.
Authorities found a white Honda Civic with significant front-end damage, as well as a blue Mazda SUV on the shoulder of the road. Paramedics immediately performed extrication procedures on a Honda occupant trapped inside the car.
According to reports, a total of six people suffered injuries in the incident–four from the Honda and two from the Mazda SUV. Officials closed off Stoddard Wells Road in both directions as they worked on transporting the patients and clearing the roadway.
Authorities determined that the Honda was traveling northbound when it crashed into the SUV, which had been traveling in the opposite direction. However, it’s unclear what drove the crash in the first place, but authorities are continuing their search for the cause and urge witnesses to call 760-241-2911.
