As a result, pedestrian accidents have also spiked in popularity, so has the risk of pedestrian accidents.

Pedestrian accidents are incidents in which someone walking or crossing a road is injured by a vehicle striking them.

This type of accident, more often than not, can be avoided.

A common cause of these unfortunate incidents includes drivers speeding. Similarly, motorists who speed do not have enough reaction time to stop or yield for us injuries.

– First, always avoid dangerous behaviors: always walk on the sidewalk (no jaywalking), stay sober, and make eye contact with drivers, don’t assume the driver can see you.

– Then, closely look before you step: cross streets at marked crosswalks/intersections. In addition, obey traffic signals, and watch for turning vehicles.
