5-Year-Old Airlifted in South Wapato Road Crash [Wapato, WA]

Wapato, WA (October 22, 2021) – Yesterday, a 5-year-old boy suffered injuries in South Wapato Road crash.

The two-vehicle crash took place at around 1 p.m. at the intersection with Branch Road.

When the authorities arrived at the scene, they discovered that the 5-year-old boy was ejected out the back window and sustained head trauma. 

Deputies provided first aid until medical responders arrived on scene and rushed the boy and the driver to Memorial Hospital. 

The authorities said that the 5-year-old was later flown to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. 

Moreover, the driver sustained some injuries. The authorities expect the driver to recover along with a 1-year-old child passenger. 

On the other hand, the other vehicle’s driver suffered from cuts and bruises.
