5 Minors Hurt Following Solo-Car Accident in Red Bluff
RED BLUFF, CA (April 1, 2019) – Five teens suffered injuries in a solo-car accident Saturday night on Reeds Creek Road near Brush Creek Road.
According to reports, although the victims were not identified due to their age, they were described as minors between ages 13 to 17.
The California Highway Patrol reported that a Nissan Sentra headed east on Reeds Creek Road lost control after driving speeds of about 40 to 50 mph. Around 7:10 p.m., the driver reportedly overcorrected, causing the car to rotate and strike an oak tree.
Due to the resulting impact, three of the five occupants waited for rescue officials to free them from the wreckage.
Once paramedics arrived, they brought them to St. Elizabeth, Mercy and Shasta Regional hospitals with injuries ranging from complaints of pain to a possible fractured left humerus.
Reports later indicated that all occupants wore their seat belt at the time.
