5 People Hurt After Bus and Box Truck Collide on 91 Freeway in Corona
CORONA, CA (July 12, 2019) – Five people sustained injuries in a bus crash Wednesday on the 91 Freeway, near South Main Street.
The 2:55 p.m. accident befell in the eastbound carpool lane.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Riverside Transit Agency bus collided with a box truck driver under unknown circumstances. Six people on board the RTA bus complained of pain; however, only one declined hospitalization.
As far as the truck driver, he or she did not report any injuries. Following the accident, RTA officials sent out a second bus to shuttle the stranded passengers to their destinations.
