Rider Killed in Highway 101 Crash
San Jose, CA (January 29, 2022) – On Friday, a 40-year-old female motorcycle passenger sustained injuries in Highway 101 fatal crash.
Officers received the collision report at 1:13 a.m. on the southbound freeway at Highway 87.
Officers said that a 47-year-old San Jose man on a 2008 Harley Davidson lost control of the motorcycle and slammed into the center median on the highway.
His female passenger said he had been traveling at a fast speed.
The impact of the crash threw both the rider and the passenger from the motorcycle and fell onto the roadway.
Unfortunately, the male rider died at the scene.
The paramedics rushed the female passenger to a hospital with significant injuries.
Moreover, the authorities do not consider alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash. They are still investigating the Highway 101 fatal crash.
