4 Dead After Car Slams Into Freeway Pole in South Gate
SOUTH GATE, CA (May 22, 2019) – Four people died in a high-speed crash along the 710 Freeway near Firestone Boulevard Wednesday.
The 3:15 a.m. accident claimed a driver’s life, as well as three passengers, in a BMW sedan.
Witnesses say the BMW was allegedly racing another car before it plowed into a freeway pole. The impact was so severe the car wrapped around the pole and its engine flew off from under the hood and landed in a ditch.
Authorities have yet to investigate whether the car had been racing another. More on this crash is under investigation.
