Four People Hospitalized after Crash on River Road in Sonoma County

Sonoma County, CA (March 4, 2022) – Friday morning, four people sustained injuries in a three-vehicle crash, including a bus on River Road.

The Sonoma County crash happened at around 6:18 a.m. on March 4 near Martinelli Vineyards & Winery.

CHP said the Chevrolet was stopped in the eastbound lane of River Road, attempting to turn left into a driveway, when the Subaru crashed into its rear.

The impact then caused the Subaru to pivot into the westbound lane, directly in front of a Sonoma County Transit bus. The bus crashed into the left rear of the Subaru.

Then the bus continued off of the roadway, down an embankment, and overturned on its side.

As a result, the driver of a Subaru Outback and an 18-month-old baby inside, the driver of a Chevrolet Suburban, and the bus driver sustained injuries.

No other information is immediately available.

Further investigation to determine the cause of the collision is underway.
