Four Hospitalized after a DUI Solo Crash along Beach Street

 
Watsonville, CA (July 15, 2020) – Four sustained injuries after a DUI solo car crash along Beach Street near Clearwater Lane on Sunday, July 12.
 
Subsequently, the 17-year-old driver from Salinas was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
 
According to reports, a Nissan Altima was speeding west on Beach Street while approaching Clearwater Lane.
 
The driver then lost control headed into a ditch, hit a pole, became airborne on its way out of the ditch, flipped over, and landed wheels-down in a field.
 
As a result, two Watsonville girls, ages 16 and 17, and an 18-year-old Watsonville man with the driver transported to Natividad Hospital with severe injuries.
 
Further investigation is ongoing.
