Injuries Reported in Phoenix Pedestrian Accident near 18th Street and Camelback Road
PHOENIX, AZ (May 9, 2022) – Saturday morning, four women suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash near 18th Street and Camelback Road.
The incident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. after a car veered off the road. Then, it crashed into a group of women outside a store near 18th Street and Camelback Road.
Afterward, the vehicle struck a concrete barrier. Meanwhile, some witnesses said that the driver traveled at a high rate of speed and didn’t slow down before the crash.
“The car, it hit these two ladies,” one witness revealed. “I’m still like really scrambled right now. I don’t know if he hit the ladies or if he hit that island right there, and the debris maybe hit them instead.”
After the crash, responders took four women to the hospital. Two of them were listed in critical condition while the others remained in stable condition.
At this time, the identity of the driver remains undisclosed.
