Truck and Sedan Collide in Victorville
VICTORVILLE, CA (May 21, 2019) – Monday’s two-vehicle accident at Sycamore Street and Highway 395 ended in injuries.
The 5:04 p.m. crash happened at the intersection. First Responders arrived on the scene to find a 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck with major front-end damage.
Officials found the female driver still trapped inside and the male passenger sitting down on the roadway.
The woman and man of the 2003 silver Toyota Camry, which sustained significant damage, as well, were able to exit the car on their own.
According to witnesses, the northbound pickup truck on Highway 395 collided with the Toyota exiting on Sycamore Street. News reports say the sedan crashed into the pickup truck as it attempted a turn onto the highway.
As a result of the impact, the truck overturned at least six times.
Paramedics arrived after and airlifted the woman to a trauma center while others shuttled the man by a ground ambulance. The Camry occupants were also treated at a local hospital.
However, because details are unclear, authorities are investigating this case further.
