39-Year-Old Ryan Clark Dies in Head-On Crash on Highway 70 [Butte County, CA]

Butte County, CA (March 8, 2022) – On Friday, 39-year-old Ryan Clark and 23-year-old Nicholas Khraich died in a head-on crash on Highway 70.

At about 11:18 p.m., officers received a crash report about a reckless driver near Cox Lane. 

After a few minutes, they also go a report about a head-on collision.

Responding officers found one vehicle on fire with its driver inside. Immediately, the rescuers used a fire extinguisher and put the fire out before it reached the inside of the vehicle. 

Investigators say a southbound Chevrolet Sonic swerved into the north lane and collided into a Toyota Camry driven by Clark.

Moreover, a 32-year-old woman in the Camry sustained major injuries while an 18-month-old also in the Camry sustained minor injures. 

Meanwhile, the authorities are investigating if drugs and alcohol were a factor in this fatal incident.
