37-Year-Old Man Dies after Train Collision near Eden Canyon Road [Castro Valley, CA]

Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck by BART Train near Interstate 580

CASTRO VALLEY, CA (December 10, 2018) – A man was killed late Monday morning following a train collision near Eden Canyon Road. The identity of the 37-year-old victim is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.

As per reports, the man was hit by a BART train near Interstate 580, at about 11:20 AM. Events that led to the collision were not immediately available.

The victim suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.
