3 Students Hurt When Bus Driver Swerves to Avoid Car in Spring Valley
SPRING VALLEY, CA (April 5, 2019) – Three students suffered minor injuries Thursday morning when a bus driver swerved to avoid hitting a vehicle near Bancroft Drive and Helix Street.
The crash happened around 7:15 a.m., according to California Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the La Mesa-Spring Valley School District bus driver swerved to avoid a vehicle that pulled in front of it. Due to the abrupt maneuver, three of nine students on board suffered minor injuries.
Following the crash, authorities contacted parents to the scene to pick up their children who did not require hospitalization.
As far as the other driver, reports did not specify any information concerning the vehicle or motorist.
