3 Dead and Several Injured in Modesto Multi-Vehicle Accident on Briggsmore Avenue and Carver Road

 
MODESTO, CA (February 2, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, three people died in a 4-vehicle crash on Briggsmore Avenue and Carver Road.
 
The incident happened at around 4:12 p.m. on Briggsmore Avenue and Carver Road, said Lt. Felton Payne.
 
According to reports, a semi struck a car and hit two other vehicles. The three deceased victims were occupants of the first car hit by the big rig.
 
Responders declared two people at the scene. Meanwhile, the other died at a local hospital, said Modesto Police Sgt. Kalani Souza.
 
At this time, their identities remain undisclosed due to pending family notification. However, Souza confirmed that the deceased victims were all males.
 
The incident shut down Eastbound Briggsmore at Prescott Road, northbound Carver just south of Joanne Avenue, and southbound Carver at West Briggsmore.
