Several People Injured in Death Valley Fatal Accident on Highway 178

 
DEATH VALLEY, CA (June 3, 2020) – 3 people died and 5 suffered injuries in a traffic crash on Highway 178 near Death Valley on May 31.
 
The incident occurred at 12:21 p.m. when Luis Echeverria of Fontana drove a 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche. He traveled west along Highway 178, just east of Highway 127. Meanwhile, Chantra Sun drove a 2017 BMW X5 east on Highway 178, approaching the Chevrolet Avalanche.
 
For reasons still unknown, the Chevrolet Avalanche and BMW X5 crashed head-on on Highway 178.
 
As a result, two Chevrolet Avalanche passengers and one BMW X5 passenger all suffered multiple traumatic injuries. The police revealed that the three people injured died due to their injuries.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported five parties to the Las Vegas University Medical Center for medical treatment.

The CHP Bishop Area currently investigates the crash.
 
Furthermore, the Inyo County Coroner’s Office and Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the identities of the persons who died.
