3 Hurt After UPS and Vehicle Collide in Shingletown
SHINGLETOWN, CA (January 27, 2020)—Three people suffered minor to moderate injuries following a head-on collision Tuesday on Highway 44 near Wilson Hill Road.
According to officials, the two-car crash befell just east of Wilson Hill Road. Around 4:10 p.m., California Highway Patrol, Shingletown Volunteer Fire Dept and Cal Fire, and AMR paramedics arrived and immediately rendered assistance to the three patients.
Crews located two significantly damaged vehicles, one of which was a UPS truck. The UPS truck and the dark blue SUV sustained major front-end damage, and authorities found the scene littered with debris.
All five patients sought treatment at a nearby hospital and paramedics describe them as minor to moderate.
Authorities remain unsure as to what led to the crash, but a follow-up investigation continues.
