3 Hurt in Head-On Crash on River Road Near Baron Drive [Eastvale, CA]

3 People Hospitalized Following Two-Vehicle Accident in Eastvale

 
EASTVALE, CA (May 7, 2019) – Paramedics brought three people to a hospital following a head-on collision on River Road near Baron Drive Saturday morning.
 
According to Riverside Sheriff’s Sgt. Raemie Wood, the 8:30 a.m. collision drew deputies to the scene along with Cal Fire-Riverside County Fire Department.
 
Arriving crews found two considerably damaged vehicles, later described as a gray Honda Accord and a silver GMC pickup truck. Debris also littered the scene, prompting officials to shut down both directions of travel.
 
In the investigation, authorities learned that the northbound Honda veered into the southbound lanes for unknown reasons. It subsequently struck the southbound GMC pickup truck in the No. 1 lane.
 
As a result of the crash, three people suffered life-threatening injuries.
 
It’s unclear at this point as to what led to the accident. However, thus far, alcohol impairment has been ruled out as a contributing source.
