Three People Hurt after Traffic Collision near Yosemite Springs Parkway
COARSEGOLD, CA (February 12, 2019) – Three people were hospitalized Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 41. The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed to the public.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened between Road 200 and Yosemite Springs Parkway, shortly before 1:00 PM. A Toyota Highlander was pulling out of the driveway at Bible Story Land into northbound traffic when it was struck by a southbound Mercury Sable.
The 75-year-old Toyota driver and his 63-year-old wife both reported complaints of pain and were
transported by ground ambulance to Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno. Meanwhile, the 55-year-old Mercury driver was transported to Kaiser in Fresno after suffering pain to her neck, chest, and abdomen. Further updates on their current medical conditions were not provided.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to cooperate with investigators as soon as possible. Additional information will be released once it becomes available.
