Children Among Injured in San Diego Accident
SAN DIEGO, CA (January 13, 2020) — Multiple children were among several people injured in Sunday’s two-vehicle accident on College Grove Drive near Highway 94.
According to authorities, a sedan driver attempted an illegal left turn in the 6300 block of College Grove Way around 2:10 p.m. Meanwhile, an SUV shuttling a family of six exited Highway 94 and struck the sedan before crashing into a nearby wall.
Firefighters responded and immediately extricated one victim. As a result, officials say they brought that victim and two others to nearby hospitals for further treatment.
Per reports, the family of six — two adults and four small children ages 4 to 11, were among those hurt. A mother and two children suffered minor injuries. Paramedics later brought them to Rady’s Children’s Hospital for further evaluation.
Furthermore, the surrounding area was closed off for a brief time while crews worked on preliminary duties.
