3 Killed and 4 Hurt in San Jose Car Crash on Highway 101

 
SAN JOSE, CA (October 22, 2019) – Three people died while four others sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Highway 101.
 
The incident involving a 2001 Chevrolet Yukon SUV occurred on October 21. According to CHP officers, the SUV crashed into a center divider before overturning. The unidentified driver sustained only minor injuries.
 
However, three people died at the scene while the other occupants sustained minor-to-moderate injuries.
 
Authorities ruled out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the collision. Authorities also shut down the highway for multiple hours and reopened it by 4:25 a.m. on Sunday.
 
The three victims fatally wounded were pronounced dead at the scene, and the rest suffered minor-to-moderate injuries, the CHP authorities said.
 
The crash on Highway 101 remains under investigation.
