Huntington Beach, CA (August 12, 2020) – On Wednesday, a 26-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Springdale Street and Croupier Drive.
 
The fatal accident happened at about 12:20 AM.
 
Huntington Beach police Sgt. Joshua Page said the victim died at the scene. While the 22-year-old female suspect driver was located nearby with her vehicle.
 
“The initial investigation shows the driver was northbound (on) Springdale Street when she struck the pedestrian, who was crossing eastbound north of the intersection of Croupier Drive,” Page said.
 
“The driver remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation and was ultimately arrested for DUI,” Page added.
 
Meanwhile, authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased.
