21-Year-Old Woman Dies in Head-On Crash on Excelsior Avenue [Hanford, CA]

Hanford, CA (August 27, 2021) – On Thursday, a 21-year-old woman died, and a  15-year-old passenger suffered severe injuries in a head-on crash on Excelsior Avenue.

A 21-year-old woman is dead and her 15-year-old passenger is severely injured after CHP says she failed to yield to traffic.

Investigating officers said the 21-year-old was on a private driveway driving towards Excelsior Avenue. Reports said she entered the eastbound lane and went directly into the path of an oncoming Ford F-250.

As a result, the two vehicles crashed and were thrown off the roadway.

Rescuers took the 21-year-old driver to Adventist Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Also, the responders took the 15-year-old passenger to CRMC with severe injuries.

Similarly, the Ford driver suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the officers are still investigating the crash. They do not consider drugs and alcohol as factors in the head-on crash on Excelsior Avenue.
