20-Year-Old Roselyn Lemus Injured in Adobe Road Rear-End Crash [San Bernardino County, CA]

San Bernardino County, CA (May 11, 2024) – Roselyn Lemus, 20, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, was injured in an Adobe Road rear-end crash Wednesday evening.

The authorities responded at 8:01 p.m. on May 8 to the two-vehicle crash at Didsbury Road in Twentynine Palms.

Blake Barton, 40, of Twentynine Palms, was driving his Mercedes CLK55 AMG when he rear-ended a Toyota Rav4 driven by Lemus.

According to the authorities, Lemus and Barton were driving north on Adobe Road when Barton, traveling at a high rate of speed, collided with Lemus’ vehicle.

As a result, Lemus’ vehicle went off the road and onto the dirt shoulder while Barton’s vehicle spun, drove about 600 feet, and struck an Edison pole. Barton’s vehicle continued about 60 feet and finally rested in a desert field.

Barton’s Mercedes sheared the bottom of the pole which resulted in a loss of power to Edison customers, and severed a Spectrum cable line, causing a loss of internet access to Spectrum customers.

Allegedly, Barton attempted to flee without exchanging information with Lemus. That is when bystanders who witnessed the crash detained him until authorities arrived.

Lemus was transported to Naval Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Similarly, Barton was taken to Hi-Desert Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigating officers suspect Barton was under the influence when the collision happened.
