Mason County 2-Vehicle Wreck Caused by Reckless Driving
Mason County, WA (August 3, 2023, 2023) On Monday afternoon, an 85-year-old woman and her 75-year-old male passenger were hospitalized after a 2-vehicle crash on State route 3.
According to Washington State Patrol (WSP), the 2-vehicle wreck happened around 12:40 p.m. on state Route 3, east of Hood Canal.
Reports say that southbound vehicle, driven by the 85-year-old woman failed to yield to traffic and swerved into the northbound lane colliding with a northbound vehicle, driven by a 65-year-old man from Montana.
Officials say that the 85-year-old female driver and her 75-year-old male passenger, both from Neah Bay, suffered injuries. The woman was taken to St. Michael Medical Center in Kitsap County, while her passenger was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
Meanwhile, the Montana man escaped injuries.
WSP is investigating the 2-vehicle wreck.
