2 People Injured after Crash on State Route 132 in Modesto

Modesto, CA (December 20, 2023) – On Wednesday night, 2 people died, and 2 others sustained serious injuries in a crash on State Route 132.

The crash occurred at 5:44 p.m. on State Route 132 just west of Gates Road. 

According to CHP, an Infiniti traveling east on the roadway approached Gates Road and entered westbound traffic, colliding with a Chevy Suburban. Following the collision, the Infiniti caught fire.

Both occupants of the Infiniti succumbed to their injuries at the scene, as confirmed by CHP. The occupants of the Chevy Suburban were transported to the hospital with major injuries, though these injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

No names have been released at this time.
