3 People Hurt in Brutal 2-Vehicle Collision on 148th Avenue SE [Yelm, WA]

Yelm, WA (October 22, 2023) On Thursday morning, 3 people were hurt after a 2-vehicle collision on 148th Avenue SE.

According to the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, the suspected DUI crash happened around 5:40 a.m. at the 16000 block of 148th Avenue Southeast at Vail Road Southeast.

Reports say that a pickup truck, driven by a 27-year-old man, crossed the center line and collided with a sedan driven by a female driver in her 40s.

Officials say that both the truck driver and his passenger, a woman in her mid-30s were hurt. While, the sedan driver also sustained injuries.

Medics transported all 3 injured patients to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

Meanwhile, officials say that the truck driver will be facing charges for suspected of driving under the influence of narcotics, has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of vehicular assault following a wreck. Police arrested the 27-year-old driver.
