2 People Killed in Three-Vehicle Crash on 210 Freeway [Fontana, CA]

Injuries Reported in Fatal Fontana Multi-Vehicle Accident on 210 Freeway

 
FONTANA, CA (January 6, 2021) – On Sunday morning, a three-vehicle crash killed two people on the 210 Freeway in Fontana, California.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 2:08 a.m. A 2007 Lexus driven by a 40-year-old woman from Moreno Valley was heading east on the westbound HOV lane of the 210.
 
After passing Citrus, the Lexus crashed into a westbound 2019 Honda driven by a 35-year-old man from Sylmar.
 
A 2000 Toyota in the Number 3 lane was also struck by the Lexus after it collided with the Honda. The crash caused the Toyota to rollover to its roof.
 
Responders pronounced a 30-year-old woman from Sylmar and a 30-year-old man from Tujunga, both are passengers of the Honda, dead at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported the drivers of the Honda and Lexus to a local hospital with major injuries. Furthermore, the Toyota driver sustained minor injuries.
 
The incident is under active investigation.
