20-Year-Old Driver and Passenger Dead in Olivehirst Accident on Highway 70 near Olivehurst Avenue
OLIVEHURST, CA (May 5, 2021) – Tuesday, two young men died in a crash on Highway 70 near Olivehurst Avenue.
The CHP revealed that at around noon, a Honda Prelude headed north on Highway 70 near Olivehurst Avenue. Then, it drove near an SUV traveling at a speed of 55 mph.
At this time, the officers haven’t determined how fast the Honda traveled. However, they claimed that the Honda went off the road when it came near the SUV.
The SUV in question was identified as a Lincoln Navigator driven by Ron Walline, 56, of Olivehurst.
He claimed that the Honda approached the rear of his car before driving into the east shoulder, striking the right side of his vehicle.
The Honda attempted to overcorrect. As a result, the Honda’s driver lost control of the vehicle.
Eventually, as the Honda veered onto the shoulder again, it crashed into the tree. The impact killed both the 20-year-old driver and 17-year-old passenger.
Meanwhile, the Mr. Walline said he suffered no injuries in the crash.

What Follows an Auto Accident
It is clear now more than ever that one person’s negligence can have devastating effects on other individuals. This is quite common in accidents that result in death. Therefore, the family of the victim must become aware that they have the authority to file a wrongful death suit.
Indeed, this forces liable parties to become accountable for their actions.
