2 Hospitalized in Trinity County Auto Accident on State Route 299 near Hennessey Road

 
TRINITY COUNTY, CA (May 23, 2021) – Friday morning, two people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 299 near Hennessey Road.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened at around 10:35 a.m. on the parking lot of Burnt Ranch United States Post Office. The crash transpired at 10271 State Route 299, west of Hennessey Road.
 
Reports revealed that a 2005 Dodge traveled west on State Route 299 east of Hennessey Road. Then, it struck a Toyota attempting to make a left turn from a parking lot.
 
Authorities said that the Toyota driver failed to see the incoming Dodge that led to the crash.
 
Furthermore, responders extricated the Toyota driver from the vehicle. Then, they transported the patient to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries.
 
Paramedics transported a passenger of the Dodge to Mercy Medical Center with major injuries. Meanwhile, another Dodge passenger was taken to Mad River Hospital with moderate injuries.
 
The incident is under investigation.
