Lastly, the investigation is still ongoing to completely assess the cause of the crash.
Roadway Safety and Awareness
It is true that roadways, while scrupulously created and mapped for efficient travel, are one of the most dangerous settings. Moreover, according to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year.
Furthermore, each year, around 20-50 million people suffer injury and/or become disabled due to a vehicle crash.
Therefore, it is crucial that everyone remain calm in order to properly handle the immediate aftermath of an automobile collision.
It is important to practice safe driving habits on the road at all times… even when it is empty. Most especially, even when there is no police officer around to make sure you make a full and complete stop.
Here are the steps we need to do in a crash:
Before anything else, seek medical attention if you have been hurt.
Then, get to a safe place to prevent further damage or injury.
Also, collect as much information as possible: insurance and contact information of people involved in the accident, pictures/videos of vehicles involved, and documentation of fault Do not forget to include whatever that can be used for evidence.
Additionally, file a police report or incident report by calling 911.
