PHOENIX, AZ (July 1, 2021) – Late Tuesday night, two police officers suffered injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
 
The incident involving three vehicles happened just before 11:00 p.m. Moreover, the crash happened on 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road.
 
Sgt. Mercedes Fortune of the Phoenix Police Department revealed that the initial crash involved a white truck and a black car. According to the investigators, the truck traveled east on Bethany Home Road. Then, it struck the police unit.
 
Due to the patrol unit’s damage, one officer required extrication from the vehicle. Then, responders took both officers to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, the truck driver and passenger also required hospitalization due to serious injuries.

As a result of the crash, the intersection remained blocked all night until the morning. By 7:30 a.m., the crash scene has been cleared.
