2 Delano Men Killed in Head-On Crash on Road 192 and Avenue 104 [Bakersfield, CA]

BAKERSFIELD, CA (September 2, 2021) – Wednesday morning, two Delano men died in a head-on crash on Road 192 and Avenue 104.
 
The incident occurred just before 7:00 a.m. on Road 192 and Avenue 104, southwest of Porterville.
 
According to the CHP, a 25-year-old man and a 78-year-old man from Delano rode a Chevy Cavalier. As they headed north on Road 192, their car veered into the southbound lanes. Then, it crashed head-on with a Chevy Silverado.
 
As a result, both men in the vehicle died at the scene. At this time, the authorities haven’t determined why the vehicle drove into oncoming traffic lanes.
 
Meanwhile, responders took the pickup driver to a Kaweah Delta Medical Center in Visalia with minor injuries.
 
At this time, the Tulare County Coroner’s Office hasn’t disclosed the identities of the victim.
 
Also, the authorities do not believe that drugs and alcohol played a role in the crash. Due to the limited information available, the authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
