Covelo Deadly Plane Collision Under
Investigation
Covelo, CA (October 22, 2023) – Two people were killed following an Airport Road plane collision Friday evening.
The Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputies responded at about 6:00 p.m. to the reported airplane crash at the 21000 block area.
Officers were told that the airplane was on fire and the fire was spreading into nearby vegetation.
After the fire was contained, the authorities located two deceased individuals who were still unidentified due to the conditions of their bodies.
In the meantime, NTSB and the Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division continue to investigate this fatal collision.
