Two Die in Fatal Head-On Crash on Bailey Avenue in San Jose
San Jose, CA (November 5, 2021) – Friday morning, two people died, and one other sustained injuries after a head-on crash on Bailey Avenue.
The fatal crash in San Jose happened at around 10:13 a.m. on November 5, east of Monterey Road near Highway 101.
San Jose police said that the 1991 Chevrolet pickup truck driver headed west on Bailey Avenue when the truck entered the eastbound lanes, which are separated by double-yellow lines on the roadway.
Shortly after, the truck struck an eastbound 2019 BMW, killing a woman who was a passenger in the truck.
Moreover, EMS took the man driving the truck to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the BMW driver also sustained injuries and taken to a local hospital and expected to survive.
No other information is immediately available. Further investigation is ongoing.
