EDMONDS, WA (April 24, 2022) – Friday afternoon, two juveniles suffered injuries in a pedestrian crash on 220th Street and 80th Avenue.
 
The incident occurred at about 3:00 p.m. on 220th Street SW and 80th Avenue W.
 
According to reports, an adult woman, a child, a 15-year-old girl, and a 3-year-old boy crossed the intersection in a crosswalk. Then, a 61-year-old Mountlake Terrace woman driving a car hit them. After the crash, the driver stopped and cooperated with the authorities.
 
Moreover, authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash. However, officers continue to investigate whether the driver was speeding or distracted.
 
Then, responders took the 15-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy to Harborview Medical Center. Eventually, the hospital discharged the girl. Meanwhile, the toddler remained in the ICU in critical but stable condition.
 
Also, the other two pedestrians didn’t require hospitalization.
 
Due to the crash, the authorities shut down the road for several hours during the investigation.
