Injuries Reported in Calistoga Auto Accident on 4500 Silverado Trail
CALISTOGA, CA (December 1, 2024) – Friday morning, a solo-vehicle crash on 4500 Silverado Trail injured 2 people.
The incident happened around 5:21 a.m. on the 4500 block of Silverado Trail North, in unincorporated Napa County, south of Calistoga.
Cal Fire firefighters, along with CHP officers and Napa County Fire Department crews, extricated two individuals from the truck. One person was airlifted to the hospital with major injuries by Sonoma County Fire District’s air ambulance, while the other sustained moderate injuries and was also hospitalized.
A Napa County hazmat team, Hazmat-27, operated by Cal Fire, responded after about 30 gallons of diesel fuel, along with soap and water, leaked into a ditch. The spill was contained, and it was confirmed that the fuel did not reach a nearby creek. The truck’s septic tank remained intact.
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services, and Napa County Environmental Health Division were notified.
Silverado Trail North, closed between Larkmead and Dunaweal lanes for the collision and hazmat response, reopened around 11 a.m., according to CHP.
