2 Hospitalized after Collision in Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 23, 2019) – On Monday morning around 10:00 AM , two people were injured in a solo-car accident on Akers Road near Vance Avenue.
As per reports, the car was going southbound on the road when it veered off, hit a retaining wall, and rolled over. No other motorists were involved in the collision.
First responders arrived at the scene and transported the sedan driver and a passenger who suffered minor to moderate injuries to a nearby hospital. Their current medical conditions are unclear at this time.
The surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
