2 People Injured in Small Plane Crash on Central Avenue South [Kent, WA]

2 Hospitalized in Kent Plane Accident on Central Avenue South

 
KENT, WA (January 9, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, two people sustained injuries in a small plane crash on Central Avenue South.
 
The incident happened at around 1:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of Central Avenue South.
 
According to the Puget Sound Regional Fire Authority, a small plane crashed into a self-storage facility for still unknown reasons.
 
Moreover, responders extricated a 59-year-old man and a 23-year-old man from the plane. Then, responders took them to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with life-threatening injuries.
 
A Public Information Officer for Puget Sound Fire said that their crew freed the two men within 19 minutes of receiving the call.
 
“We all train together. And so when we have an incident like this which is really, you may get once in your career, everybody was able to work together. They knew what they wanted to do and everybody worked seamlessly together,” said Pat Pawlak, Public Information Officer for Puget Sound Fire.
 
The authorities haven’t disclosed additional details about the incident.
