Pedestrian Dies in Broadway Avenue Accident [Galveston, TX]

1 Killed in Galveston Traffic Collision

Galveston, TX (May 18, 2024) –  A 63-year-old man was killed following a Broadway Avenue accident Friday morning.

Investigating officers said an off-duty Galveston PD officer was driving his vehicle near the area of 58th Street when the accident happened.

The officer immediately reported the accident to the police channel.

Moreover, responding officers provided CPR to the victim before EMS arrived. The pedestrian was then transported to the hospital, where he was declared deceased.

The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the fatal crash.
